Fire Extinguisher Training
Fire extinguisher training and demonstration programs are available to private and public groups with personnel responsible for the use of fire extinguishers. Classroom programming begins with the importance of sounding the alarm and initiating evacuation, then investigates fire behavior, basic chemistry of fire and the five classes of fire. Types of extinguishers, universal labeling and selecting the appropriate extinguisher for different types of fires are discussed prior to training in the proper use of a portable extinguisher. The opportunity to use a fire extinguisher in a non-fire situation or live fire simulator training is available.
