Hazardous Materials Operations Level Training
The operations level training program addresses the information covered in the awareness level program in greater depth and focuses on the defensive mode of operation to isolate and contain a hazardous material incident. Participants will understand the types of exposure/routes of entry, the impact of contaminants on the human body, decontamination procedures and the prevention of further exposure. General pre-incident planning with guidelines for risk assessment and review of applicable OSHA/EPA requirements will be examined and tailored to meet each individual site’s needs. Scene control, evacuation and incident management in coordination with responding agencies will also be reviewed.
